Ausschreibung
Japan-Stipendium für deutschsprachige Pathologen

  • The German Society of Pathology provides in 2007 scholarships to Germany for young Japanese pathologists. The total amount for the scholarships is EUR 20.000.-.
  • The announcement of the scholarships to Germany and the selection of scholarship holders is organized by the Japanese Society of Pathology. The Japanese Society of Pathology can select up to four scholarship holders. The minimal amount of one scholarship should be EUR 5000,00.
  • The aim of the scholarships is to support sabbatical terms of young Japanese pathologists (under the age of 40 years) in German institutes of pathology. The sabbatical terms have to be used for research projects. The scientific value of a research project will be a main criterion for the selection of a scholarship holder.
  • The scholarships cover travel expenses, cost of accomodation and living in Germany and research expenses. A financial plan has to be part of the scholarship application. The treasurer of the German Society of Pathology will pay the total amount of a scholarship directly to the scholarship holder according to the financial plan of the application.
  • A committee named by the Japanese Society of Pathology selects the scholarship holders out of applicants. Applications should include: CV, list of publications, certificate about the knowledge of the English and/or German language, description of the research project, choice of the German institute of pathology, consent of the academic host to the application and research project, duration of the sabbatical, financial plan.
  • After the selection the scholarship holders are informed by the Japanese Society of Pathology . The names and applications of scholarship holders are send to the treasurer of the German Society of Pathology, who will pay the amount of the scholarship according to the financial plan to the scholarship holders.
